I had taxol and ec and wore the cold cap for 12 horrendous weeks and was in pain with it and I still lost all my hair ,so the cold cap is terrible,it ads time to your treatment and barely works .
I could only endure 2 chemo sessions with the cold cap as it was so painful and like you say adds another 1.5 hours to treatment day.
My hair was shedding 19 days following the first treatment anyway. Did cold cap for the next chemo but it was so awful i decided i could not do it again. I have now lost all of my hair but it will grow back even if at slower rate.
Appreciate it's a personal decision to cold cap but glad i did not continue with it myself.
