Secondary Bone cancer

I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in 2016 when I had my thyroid removed followed by RIA. Since then it has metastasised into my lung and has been well looked after by more RIA and four monthly blood tests and oncologist visits. In October last year it was felt I needed to go for a scan where it was deemed I needed a high dose of RIA. In February when I saw my oncologist I found out it has spread to my back. He has suggested lenvatinib might be an option but I haven't got to see him now until September. In my head of course I am now not going to survive. I have been feeling really depressed and cant stop thinking about it. Has Any one else had experience of this?

  • Have secondary bone cancer in the right shoulder joint after having thyroid cancer and right lymph node removed. Spend my days thinking positive/ crying my eyes out / depressed thinking its  around the same age has my Dad died and its game over for me.

Surprisingly one thing that helps.me a little ,is to sit out in the garden and get the sun on my face

While I can't comment on your diagnosis I wish you all the best.
