Hello Rufus1965,
I hope you won't mind but I have changed the title of your thread so that it can be spotted more easily by others who have had a similar diagnosis in the past and who have also noticed that their mood and memory have changed since their diagnosis. What type of tumour and where exactly is it located if you don't mind me asking?
It must be really hard to be noticing your mood, memory and temperament changing as a result of a cancer diagnosis. It might be a good idea to talk to your doctor or specialist about this - they will be able to tell you whether this is to be expected with this particular type of tumour and they may have some resources for you so you can get support or medication for this to help you deal with the memory losses and mood changes. Make sure you give them all the details of these mood or personality changes you are noticing and how these are affecting you and having an impact on your daily life. They may know of local support groups too that can help - have a look for example at Maggie's as they may have a cancer centre in your area and they are excellent at providing support to cancer patients. You don't even need an appointment, you can just walk in and get advice and support (as well as a nice cup of tea).
Don't hesitate also to give our cancer nurses a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and they will be happy I am sure to give you guidance and talk things through with you.
I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have suffered similar mood, memory and temperament changes as a result of a tumour and that they will have some good suggestions for you based on their own experiences.
Best wishes,
