Alan is now coming up to 9 weeks post radiotherapy. He started to eat proper food 3 weeks ago after living on the food shakes. In last week the area round Adams apple swollen particularly in morning. His oncology nurse assures us this is about right for this stage. Says lymphodema and to massage. Throat tight and sore swallowing still difficult but he's persevering. Lots sauce, butter and oil and water all the time. Loads gunk still no saliva.
PET scan 15th April results 24th April. Alan was Stage 1 so we are hopeful.
