Non.Hodgkins Lymphoma

I have had 6 sessions of chemotherapy and am now receiving an injection of Rituximab every two months for

two years.  I had a pleural effusion on my left lung which was how the NHL was discovered…and although I had

visited my GP with increasing breathless over a period of a few weeks..they said my lungs were clear.

I eventually rang 111 who arranged an appointment in A&E..and was admitted and over a litre of fluid was drained

from the lung. and I was almost immediately begun on Chemotherapy.  Although I feel pretty good now I worry

that the cancer will return ….

  • Hello AnitaCal,

I'm glad to hear that you're feeling well after what was been a long road. However I can understand why would might be worried about the cancer returning. It's can be natural to think the worst sometimes, but this tends to increase anxiety more than anything else. As you probably know, it's important to let your medical team know of any changes or new symptoms so they can keep on top of things. There is information on our website on living with non hodgkins lymphoma, which you can refer to at any time and the forum is always her for you whenever you need it.

    Best wishes,
