Me,myself and I.

My wife passed 4 years ago with cancer, I was diagnosed in 2022 also with cancer, currently undergoing immunotherapy treatment which is , at best, challenging but hopefully doing its job.

Just wonder how others are reacting to the side effects of BCG treatment

  • Hello Timcran

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your wife and that you're now going through treatment for cancer yourself. It sounds like it's been a difficult few years for you and I hope that you have a good support network of friends and family around you.

As you've mentioned that you're undergoing BCG treatment I presume that you're having treatment for bladder cancer. Is this correct?

I know that we've had members post on the forum who have shared their stories about BCG and bladder cancer previously. You might find some of those posts using the forum search function at the top of the page. I do know from the posts that I've read here that others have found this particular treatment to be challenging as the side effects worsen the more treatment sessions you have. Are you due a check-up soon? Hopefully, this will bring some reassuring news to help you continue to move forward with things.

If you'd like to talk with one of our nurses at any point you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information, and support they can.

Keep in touch Timcran and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
