Has anyone who has gone through treatment for HPV related tonsil cancer had a CT scan and then been sent for a PET scan? We were told from day one this may be the case and around 50% of people do get this but I am absolutely terrified that this is the case and another wait!! We had the brilliant news that the CT scan showed no cancer but that they want to do a PET scan to double check it’s just scar tissue on the lymph node. Has anyone else had this?
