Inflammatory breast cancer

Hello everyone I have inflammatory breast cancer I caught it early but still quite large has any one else had this or got this please .. I just finished my ec 12 week 4 chemo and having mei scan on 27th feb sO Scared it hasn’t shrank .. then start weekly chemo another three months then mastectomy any advice is welcome .. thank you xx

    I'm sorry to hear that you've been undergoing treatment for inflammatory breast cancer (IBC). It's good to hear that things were caught early but I can understand that you still have worries and fears ahead of your next scan. 

    I'm not sure that we currently have any members actively going through treatment for IBC but if you use the forum search function at the top of the page to look for the terms "IBC" or "inflammatory breast cancer" I'm sure you will find lots of previous posts that may be of interest to read through. You might also like to have a look at the Breast Cancer Now forum where you might be able to connect with others who have this diagnosis. 

    If it would be helpful to talk with one of our nurses at any point you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice and support they can. 

    I hope that your scan on the 27th brings some positive news Tamtam and I wish you well for the next phases in your treatment plan.

    Hi Tamtam I was diagnosed with IBC last week and will be starting chemo in 2 weeks time. I would be interest to hear how uou are doing.

    Hi I was diagnosed with IBC July 2024. Finished chemo late November. Had left mastectomy end of December and have just finished 3 weeks radiotherapy. I haven’t found anyone else that has had or gothis till reading your message. The chemo didn’t work well for me as it did shrink a  Bit but not much. Even after all that you would think it has gone but I’m scared when they want to do the next full body scan. Seeing my oncologist next week. The worst was the chemo to be honest and all the side affects. We have to just try and stay positive   Good luck with all your treatments

    Hello … how’s things going .. I’m all clear .. but worried it will come back soon .. be strong they are amazing with what they can do even if you didn’t respond well to chemo .. let me know how things are going .. here if you need a chat xxx
