I would love that too, im trying to be, ive been told im a positive person anyway and for some reason i end up making everything into a joke but i guess its just my way. Sending you hugs the first few days after my lumpectomy and nodes removal were abit tricky but i got through it and you will too. My next step is my first chemo treatment on 29th but reading other peoples accounts on how they found it have reassured me, and i only joined on here today. Sending everyone warrior hugs xx
Hi Anna
Hope everything goes well with your chemo, keep positive and laughing, its the best therapy. I start radiotherapy on the 4th March. Stay strong and sending you all warrior hugs.
Thankyou RIABEN70 thats so thoughtful of you to reply, Good luck for your radiotherapy, you will smash it. Laughter really is the medicine. Xxx
Hi Anna, sorry to hear of your diagnosis. It's good that you have now got through your surgery, hope all goes well with your chemo. I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma on 18th January. I would have preferred surgery first, but it's been decided that I have EC-T chemo first. 3 cycles of EC, then 4 of the T, which will be docetaxel . I also need Herceptin as I'm HER2 positive. After chemo I'll need mastectomy, followed by radiotherapy. Also hormone blockers for 5-10 years. Think my chemo will be starting in a couple of weeks like you, just waiting for a date. Wish you well on your forward journey. Xx
wow im so sorry to read about your diagnoses too, thats alot going on, although your treatment does seem quite similar to mine, some being in a different order. I wish you all the very best in your journey too. i hope we can keep eachother updated in whats happening would be nice having eachother through all this rubbish. sending warrior hugs xxx
Hi bluesatsuma, i hope you are ok now after your lumpectomy, sorry to see about your diagnoses and the 6 week wait for results is difficult, although not long to go now. Im so pleased you have healed so well, i have too mostly, and i also agree about your worries before the surgery, it wasnt as bad as i thought although still scary of course and my hospital and the staff there are also amazing each time i go there. I wish you well, sending hugs x
Would be happy to share experiences through our chemo journey. Xx
Hi RAC, pleased for you that your surgery is now behind you. I won't be having my surgery until I'm past the chemo stage, which will starting in the next couple of weeks. I met the oncology team on Wednesday, who were all lovely and very reassuring.Wish you well on the rest of your journey. Xx
Hi Anna.W805 thanks for your reply. Glad you've healed well too. Hope that your chemo goes well. I'm still waiting for results but only 2 weeks and 2 days now. Then I will know for sure next steps. Good luck and stay positive. Let us know how it all goes. X
