Hi Jacqu. I'm also new to this group. Found it a few nights ago. I was diagnosed end if october 24. I'm also muddling through this all. It's never straight forward. I'm on my 5th chemo due. Because they found fatty liver issue so now that looks like it will stop any potential surgery.
It's all so depressing. I've always been one to plan ahead but can't do that now. My work are holding my job for me but according to oncologist I will be too tired to work.whats happening with you now as I note this post is a bit old?
Hi Audrey- sorry to hear your diagnosis & all we can do is have massive trust in our oncologist. Yer I’ve had chemo and debulking surgery I’m now on maintenance treatment although my tumour marker ca125 has risen to 700! So looks like I’ll be having chemo again. Yes working is something I had to give up because of my tiredness and concentration. I hope your coping the best you can.
Hi Jacqui. So happy you got surgery. I think I am still on this pathway but letter from GI consultant yesterday states some complications if surgery so doesn't look like it to me. I have to have another 2 chemo then ct and mdt meeting. My ca125 is down to 16 but the tumour size not reduced as much as they wanted. I was on carboplatin alone for 4 cycles but last 2 adding in paclitaxel. Dreading the side effects.
How did you find the surgery and post op?
