I have been on Anastrozole for 4 years and, by chance, had bloods taken before being prescribed medication for psoriasis. The cholesterol came back at 6.7 mmol/L. I was shocked to find that there is a link between cholesterol and Anastrozole.
I am told that patients on Anastrozole should have their cholesterol monitored but this never happened in my case. If my dermatologist hadn't ordered the blood tests I doubt I would have known I was in danger.
So if you're taking Anastrozole, please get your Cholesterol checked.
