Secondary breast cancer HER2 stage 4

Anyone out there with the same? Think I’m ready for a buddy… getting frustrated with family and friends thinking I’m “fine”. I’m very much keeping positive but would love to talk to someone in same position. Thanks in advance Kelly

  • Hi just wondering how everyone on this thread is doing. I am struggling with lower right back and side pain. Waiting for a CT scan. I fear the cancer has spread to my bones.

Have not told family or friends how I am feeling, I just put on a brave face and carry on.

    Best wishes

  • Hi, I’m so sorry I’m only replying to this now! I’ve sine had more mets in my brain discovered with the sudden onset of seizures which are well controlled now with anti epileptic drugs. I had whole brain radiotherapy which was relatively successful with the majority of the growths shrinking although a couple of tiny growths remain   This has greatly reduced my prognosis though I have managed to outlive my predicted deadline. The impact of finding this out has been tough for me and my family, however when I read what you have gone through I am so impressed that you are still battling through such a difficult time. You are one amazing warrior! How are you now?

  • Hi Sandradee, hoping your pain is under control. I have to take Oramorph most days now on top of the high dose of MST and had scans to see if there was something going on. They discovered a lot of the pain was coming from Osteoporosis and the cancerous growths in my spine were still stable. I’ve gone back to using my back brace when I feel I need it. Thinking of you and hoping you have good news but if not I’m happy to chat
