Pembrolizumab Ending

I have been receiving Pembrolizumab for the last 2 years and next month is my final treatment. I have tolerated this really well and been able to live a normal life with minimal side effects. Im nervous about what will happen next and have not had any communication from my hospital as yet, I am interested to know of anyone that has been in a similar position to me. What was your next treatment options? How long has it been and Has the cancer stayed at bay or grown? Thanks

  • Hello Stage3lungcancer60

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis and that you're feeling nervous ahead of your treatment ending next month. It's understandable that you will have questions about what may happen over the coming months.

I know that we have had members here on the forum previously who have been on Pembrolizumab, also known as Keytruda. You might want to try using the forum search function to look for posts that contain the word Keytruda. It may be that you can connect with others who have been through similar situations that way.

If you'd like to chat things through with one of our nurses, I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice, information, and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

I hope that your appointment goes well next month and that the team is able to offer you some reassurance about the future.

    Best wishes,
