Hello Pauline , I have been on Letrezole since March ,had blood test for my Bisphosphonate infusion and this has shown that my Calcium levels are high . I am being sent for another blood test . Don’t really know if this is also because of the medication ,Check it out with medical team xxx
I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer. I took Tamoxifen for a year after the first and Letrozole for 6½ years after the second. I am on a lot of other medication too. I attend the hospital for checks on my liver every 6 months and have regular fibroscans to check on it. I was first diagnosed 14 years ago and the readings for my liver are better now than they were then. I am happy to say that I still feel well.
I hope that your blood has settled when you have further tests in 6 weeks.
Am on Anastrozole and have only been on it 4 months, liver function was fine b4 going on them, so concerned to already be having adverse effects from it. Hopefully it will settle down or they will change me over to something else.
Here's hoping that it settles down. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We do need these treatments, but they do have their down sides too.
I’m on anastrozole too plus zoladex. I had a pet scan in April and my liver was ok but they found since anastrozole it had an area of fatty liver. I’m due follow up tests in a few months so we will see. I think it does mess with your liver. I e only been on it 4 months ish I think
