Anal Cancer Pain

Good morning

I am battling with anal cancer over the last few months. I have not yet started chemotherapy as the doctors planned therefore I am agonising with strong taping pain from the tumour itself

the doctor has not prescribed me at all some strong instant painkiller  as i wished or want..

How to deal this with and why morphine or voltarene have ben invented for ? is there any alternative to this ?

  • That sounds awful Sammy ,get on to your Gp and explain the situation. You shouldn’t be suffering like this ! Does Brufen or Panadol ease it at all ?

Keep in touch and let us know how things go xx

  • How are you getting on ? Have you spoken to Gp ?

  • Yes I went yesterday, very nice guy who has listened me well  gave some cream to numb the pain supposedly and the  same prescription for the pain. the pain is still bit the same but I had long goof nig sleep as he gave some Zopiclone

I am using lots holistic and natural product at the moment namely turmeric , ashchawanga ,black paper , CBD oil  , hight  dose injection of vitamin c ,ginger garlic ,

black seed oil and black seed etc .

I take orally as direct , cook with them . take them with green T , and apply directly to the tumour.  I am not very keen and not ready for chemotherapy   yet I am

not married and have kids is freaky me out to suffer from long term damages of the chemotherapy/.

Thank you very much for your kindness and concern

  • I am glad you saw your Gp ,but pain still not really controlled .

Could you get an appointment with your oncologist ? I really feel this pain should be controlled better so you can get on with your life .Have you discussed how chemo would affect you .
    Best wishes xx

  • The pain is on and off . I have an appointment with my main doctor on the 22t of August.

The chemotherapy has many side effect while I am on but has a long term damage as I wont be able to have kids, erection , control of my bowel  and many others but of course depending on the person.

Been reading and researching a lots lately as I got in the back of my head shrinking the tumour is a great thing to do and to be focussed on. and if i do do I believe a small surgery to remove the rest will be the ultimate solution. #

My tumour was haemorrhoid before . I had it removed 2o years ago but I have been living with this small lamb at the entry of the anus  and it was harmful and most of time it was going wawa then come back ...

Because I am HiV positive as well it turn into ulcer and from ulcer became a cancer..

I am praying my Allah that it will got back to the the initial lamb I had for 20 years. in my religion it says that there is illness without cure. and is not the illness who kill but Allah.  i survived Aids 25 years, awful car accident, appendix which burst in my intestine and cause 4 months in hospital, severe insomnia and depression over last 10 hears where i wax experiencing awful hallucination, hearing voices and seeing imaginary people .. that was worse than anything else

I kept believing and accepting Allah plan and I have overcome all these I went twice to Saoudite Arabia, to perform my Hajj and Umrah which are one of the 5 obligation and foundation of Islam. so morally spiritually and physically I am in very good place and state frame of mind.

I feel one way or another I got that strong feeling I will beat this bloody C

Using lots of natural and organic holistic approach and products not saying chemo is not good and i am open to take the treatment but after I have tried all these . At least my general heal will be improve and will help the chemo works effectively.

Going to mosque as is Jumma I do volunteer  there and is best day to make du'as and prayers.

I will take this opportunity to make du'as and pray for all these lovely people how are suffering from  any sort of cancer and other diseases.

May ALLah  bless you with endless goodness and give you quick SHIFA ( Cure)

    Massive love

    Hussein

  • Hello Hussein

I'm glad to hear that you have an appointment arranged with your main Dr later next week. Hopefully they will be able to offer you something to help with managing the pain that you're experiencing.

It's really important that you let your Dr know about the alternative and complementary treatments that you're trying at the moment as some of these don't mix well with conventional medicine and in some instances are even thought to be harmful. It's certainly worth talking these things through with your Dr.

Having a positive mindset toward managing an illness, and its recommended treatment can stand you in good stead and it certainly sounds as if you're feeling that way so have an open and honest conversation with your specialist and hopefully you will be able to come to an agreement that you feel happy with regarding your treatment and pain management moving forwards.

    Best wishes,

  • Hello Hussein, you seem to have gone through a lot over the years but I feel your faith has helped you a lot . As the moderator mentioned ,it’s good to check with your oncologist about supplements you are taking . Mine was fine with what I was taking during my chemo . You mentioned infertility ,after chemo .Have you considered saving and having sperm frozen . Being positive has helped me a lot and looking forward . Good luck R xx
