Hello Sparkle-all the way ? Have you had investigations or operation ? Check with your consultant to see if they are happy for you to travel first .
Best wishes R x
Just finished 6months of immuno/chemotherapy, awaiting PET scan .
thanks R
How are you feeling ? I finished chemo in March and waiting for reconstruction now. I phoned to get travel insurance as I think it’s easier than doing it online . I have gone with Saga ,
All the best with PET scan xx
Tired !! lolz ! It's not a great time in a female's life to get cancer with menopause adding to it lolz!
Gosh! and I though waiting 6-8wks for the scan was long enough! How are you feeling???
Yes, I will try SAGA ,
All the best to both of us , I think .
I am retuning to work next week (eck!) on a phased return - back to the real world x
Hello, sweats and more sweats ! I feel pretty good thanks ,achy bones and mega sweats ,but doing well really . Menopause has been pretty awful ,taking Letrezole now for 10 years and sweats continue !
Good luck and keep in touch ,I am off to South of Germany for a few days next week xx
https://www.travelwithinsurance.com are pretty good.
Beware on non-specialist insurers, they often quote low premiums but exclude a payout for cancer-related problems!
Thank Davek ,will check that out too x
Hi , I’m heading away this week to Portugal and the best deal I could find was with Insure.with . A lot cheaper than quoted in comparison sites
Hello
I had breast cancer last year found most companies so expensive but found one so cheap it’s called admiral it’s more or less sane cost as pre diagnosis about £5 a year more
good luck love laraxxx
Obviously it’s worth shopping around and checking the small print for “exclusions”.
Too many people, or their families, are forced to use *** to pay for repatriation caused by a pre-existing condition that the small print excluded. I almost fell into that trap last year - I was about to pay for a too good to be true premium when I checked and the exclusions included cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure which were the only reason I needed specialist travel insurance in the first place!
