New LAMN T4a

Hi All,

New to the chat, new to any of this. Don’t know what to expect where to go, who to tell or how and when. Don’t even know what I have after reading so much and the confusion with it all. Any pointers would be great. Appendix removed in May then received a letter for a chest CT out of the blue. When I did some questioning and hunting about I found that I had LAMN THEN THIS WEEK STAGED AS T4a. not a clue have been referred to surgeon, plan of colonoscopy and MRI. That’s all I know so far. I have other comorbidities that are rare. Any advice from someone like me or is knowing this process would be great.

  • Hello Judylee

I'm sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis and that at the moment you're now waiting for further tests. We know for many people that this period of waiting and uncertainty can be difficult and it's natural that you will have questions and concerns.

It's good to hear that you've been referred for additional tests. Hopefully this will mean that by the time you see the Consultant, they will have a clear picture of what is going on for you and will be able to talk things through with you.

In the meantime I wonder if you might find it helpful to chat with one of our nurses. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any information, advice and support they can to help you through the coming weeks. If you'd like to talk with them they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

I'm sorry that we can't offer more clarity at the moment but please know that we're here to listen and support you.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
