Recently Diagnosed- Stage 2

Good evening all,

My first time writing on this forum so please bare with me

My world turned upside this week , I am 34 and I found a lump and after a long wait and a biopsy it is confirmed that I have stage 2 breast cancer in my left breast.

I have a mri and ct scan tomorrow and I feel more anxious than ever, my emotions are so up and down which I am sure many of you have experienced.

I have recently been experiencing shoulder and back pain and after researching with Dr Google it is very likely that from these symptoms it could be metastatic.

My question to you is did anyone else experience these symptoms too? Is it still possible to have these symptoms and it not be metastatic?

I am going insane it has truly been the longest, worst week of my life I'm trying to stay strong for my family but I am struggling with all these emotions and the what if's

Thankyou to anyone who replies xxx

  • Hi Lingy,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

Do you know what type of breast cancer you have?  It is not at all unusual to think the worst at this stage, but fortunately, this seldom happens. As Lara said, once we know that we have cancer, we tend to think that the slightest pain or ache is as a result of that.

I shall be thinking of you tomorrow and hope that all goes well. Please keep ion touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
