Dry mouth - Anastrozole or Diep surgery?

I haven't posted on here for a while as I have been recovering from major delayed bilateral Diep surgery. The first couple of weeks were rough but apart from a few healing issues on my incisions am happy with the results and relieved that I now have 2 boobs again. I am not on any medication a few painkillers the first week or so and nothing since. However I'm still on Anastrazole and Calcium D3. The last week I have been waking with a very dry throat which is making my the roof of my mouth sore. Tried mouth wash, salt water rinse and cleaning teeth. Sugar fee gum helps, but it's persistent and waking me at night. Anyone else have this? Is it to do with surgery or medication?

  • Hi Silverdays,

Good to hear from you and glad your recovery is going OK and you're happy with the result.

Just sending a reply here as, although I'm not able to help with your questions, it will hopefully mean a few more people see your post and will hopefully get some replies.

As always if you'd like to speak to one of our nurses about this, you can give them a call on freephone 0808 800 4040 - Monday-Friday, 9-5.
