I am on phesgo every three weeks and have just gone past the x18 times ,am due to continue ..
I have very sore fingertips and cracked and split nails ... no miricle answer to this just soak in as much good hand cream ( put on cotton gloves to soak it in) and use cuticle oil on the tips .
it can be extremely painful but I try to think at least I'm not still on intravenous atm .
Hi Debbyt, thank you so much for your reply. I have just ordered some cotton gloves from Amazon. I saw the oncology doctor yesterday and she said that it's the Capecitabine that is causing this (I take Capecitabine tablets daily and have Oxaliplatin IV drip treatment once every 3 weeks). She reduced the tablets from 1g twice a day to 500mg twice a day, and prescribed Eucerin Repair Original 10% cream. I was also advised not to wash with soap but to use aqueous cream instead. Of all the side effects I find this one the worst, as you'll know, it stops you doing so many things (my partner is typing this for me). So I will do all these things and hope for some improvement.
