Chemotherapy Nausea

Hi can any body advise on chemotherapy nausea.I have tried all sickness tablets but they are not working so after my treatment I have really bad nausea for 10 days any advice would be really appreciated.

  • Hi

I had my first chemo 3 weeks ago and had constant nause for 5 days it was awful, I literally ate nothing just drank water, not much sickness but the nausea was horrendous. On day 5 I called the chemo nurse who said to come in so they could check my fluids. They kept me in for 4 days and changed my anti sickness medicine. Had my 2nd chemo Wednesday and so far no nausea so may be worth a call to the nurse. Hope you feel Better soon x

  • Hi Kimmy pleased you are doing well what sickness tablets have they put you on. I have 24 chemotherapy sessions which will be on going for me until I cannot be treated I have stage 4 breast Cancer diagnosed in April 21.If you fancy chatting I am here for you you take care.x

  • Hi

I have just had 3 days of Aprepitant, Domperidone 3 times a day, Dexamethasone, and ondansetron. Fell slight nausea today but nothing like before. Do call your nurse they may be able to try something else that suits you better. The nausea was so debilitating. I have stage 3 and in my lymph nodes so having chemo for approx 4 months then surgery then radiation. Already loosing my hair with this cycle but had a wig fitting and it's fab I love it so will nice to feel a bit more like me when I go out.
I do hope they manage to sort your medication so you at least feel a bit better. Good Luck x Her to chat if you need to.

  • Hi Cathapillar,

I am sorry that your nausea is so bad. Have you mentioned this to the chemo team? There are several different things that they can prescribe. Here's hoping that you find one that works for you.

Please keep in touch and let us know. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
