I was diagnosed back in 2013 with ET and am from Dublin where it is very rare.  I am now 54.  I have pretty much been non symptomatic for the last 10 years bar worrying every 3 months when I had to get blood tests.  I have had 2 bone marrow biopsy's and my platelets are currently  980.  They have pretty much stayed at this for 3 years.  I have taken Aspirin for 13 years but no oral chemo.  I have recently noticed a lot of bruising on my legs.  I large one on my right leg and 6 or 7 smaller ones on my left thigh.  I ended up in a and e and they took blood tests which were normal apart from the platelets..  Has anyone else experienced bruising like this?
