Palbociclib + Fulvestrant Injections - side effects

Hi my name is Clare. I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer cash metastasize to my right lung January 2022.

My cancer treatment is Palbociclib + Fulvestrant Injections.

I'm trying to research if any of these manufacturers who produce these drugs have done trials on people who are wheelchair uses, sitting down all day long due to limited mobility.
I have one major side effect, which has been driving me up the wall that is skin change with very itchy peeling skin, I have been prescribed an anti-histamine medication something and so far I've not found a happy medium with a barrier cream that's available on prescription.

Last month I had my Palbociclib medication dosage reduced for the next four months to try and alleviate my side effects. This week I've been having uncomfortable Tumor Twinges I do not know why and I don't know what this means. I have let members of my medical support network know.

  • Welcome to the forum Clare,

I'm sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with secondary breast cancer that metastasized to your right lung in January last year.

While I can't give you any answers about those drug manufacturers and trials on people with limited mobility I wanted to share a page from our website with information on dealing with the side effects of cancer drugs. There is also information on Palbociclib (Ibrance) and Fulvestrant (Faslodex) if you want to read.

Hopefuly others who have more suggestions will come along shortly to talk with you but until then I hope this helps.

    Wishing you the best,
