Can you have TRIP drinks with Letrozole & alendronic acid

Hi

I  had surgery for invasive oestregen receptor positive breast cancer, stage 2, followed by radiotherapy in early 2022. I am now on letrozole and alendronic acid ( as my dexa bone scan showed signs of bone density loss)

I am trying not to drink alcohol and just wondered if anyone knows if the TRIP drinks would be safe to have, just to relax with, on an evening with family or friends when everyone else is enjoying a prosecco or two!

I believe they contain cannabis oil- not the stuff that makes you high but they are advertised as helping you relax

  • Hi Jloc and welcome to the forum.

It's great to hear you've had treatment for your cancer and I hope you're getting along well with the Letrozole and the alendronic is helping with your bone density.

Some people have found CBD oil can help with pain and decrease anxiety but due to the potential side effects and risks this may cause with your current treatment we would recommend speaking with your doctor/cancer team first to check whether these drinks are safe for you to have.

You're also welcome to discuss this with our cancer nurses on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they'll do all they can to help.

    Kind regards,
