If you're looking for an answer, posting more information would be a massive help for those that may answer your questions. Cancer type, spread, treatment etc. Not all cancers are equal. For example, pancreatic cancer is the polar opposite from having a small basal cell cancer on your skin.

The way we had the 5 year survival explained to us, being cancer free for 5 years tends to put your risks more in line with the general population. So they don't tend to focus on the 10, 20 etc year milestones. But again, this varies from cancer to cancer.
