  • Hello onos

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. Undoubtedly this is a difficult time for you both and it's natural that you're feeling as you are.

We've quite a few members here on the forum who have been through treatment for oesophageal cancer or who have a loved one who has been through treatment. I'd encourage you to have a look at this thread and post a message there. I'm sure that some of the members will share their words of support and advice with you.

Macmillan has a team who will be able to advise and support you regarding finances. You can read more on their website here. I know lots of our forum members have found them to be very helpful with this aspect of their cancer journey so do give them a call.

Here at Cancer Research UK, we have a team of nurses that you can call to talk things through if you'd like to speak with someone. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice, information, and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

I want to wish you both well ahead of your husband starting chemo next week. Keep in touch Onos. It may feel that you are alone right now but there are a lot of people who will understand some of what you're dealing with.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
