Welcome to Cancer Chat. As you say, it's a difficult question and one that would be best discussed with your medical team, as they will be best placed to advise. We do have some general information about CLL on our website.

A very warm welcome to our forum.

This may seem like a difficult question, but it is one that most of us want to know. Don't look up figures on Google, as they are often poorly researched, out of date and inaccurate. Our moderator, Ben has suggested that your care team are in the best position to answer this question and he is right. They have access to all of your medical records, age, history of other health issues, stage of your CLL, family history, etc.

It is not always possible to give a definite answer and sometimes the reality can be far off the mark -  in either direction. However, most consultants can give you a reasonably accurate 'guesstimate'. They don't always proffer this, unless you ask them outright, as not everyone wants to know.

Don't worry about asking 'difficult questions' on this site. Most of us here have experienced cancer first hand and no question is taboo!
