Lung & renal cancer

Hi

so new to this site, my name Carol 62 years of age.  I have beating this cancer since the age 28.
6 times breast cancer, since March this year diagnosed with lung and adrenal stage 4 cancer...
August this year my oncologist put me on palliative chemotherapy, unfortunately after 2 courses my blood count went down too low so the treatment had to be stopped...

I won't know what my next step will be until I see my oncologist in January. I have asked the question about alternative treatment, doctor said the other treatment will be to radical?
One good thing at least I can enjoy my Christmas with family and friends, last Christmas I was in hospital no visitors because of Covid.  So I really going to enjoy this festive season.

Not a work now which I truly miss, so my days spending time with good friends (when I'm not having a bad day with Fibromyalgia). The pain horrendous at times. Bed is best cure. I have a very supporting family son and a daughter who live very close, unfortunately they have a busy working life.
If not with friends. I'm resting or visiting my local hospice. Fantastic bunch of people and staff always there for me, I cannot thank them enough.

please make contact with me. Be lovely to talk.
God bless to you

 Carol

  • Beating breast cancer, not just once, but 5 more times is truly remarkable Carol although I'm sorry to hear the treatment you were having for your lung and adrenal cancer has now had to be stopped.

I can't begin to imagine how tough life has been for you since you were first diagnosed with cancer but it's clear to see you are one incredibly strong woman and hopefully your oncologist will be able to offer more information and insight about other treatment options when you see them in January. If you'd like to discuss anything before then with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I'm sure some of our members who are in a similar position will stop by to introduce themselves and offer their support and advice to you soon Carol but in the meantime, I just want you to know we are all rooting for you and hope you have a truly wonderful Christmas and New Year with your friends and family this year.

    Kind regards,
