Hi Snippy,
My reply here will boost your post, so a few more people should see it - and if there are others with similar experience then hopefully they'll be along.
I have done a search of the forum (using the button in the blue bar above) and it doesn't seem like there are too many other discussions on here about this unfortunately.
I can see you have also spoken to our nurses and received a reply from them, which I hope was helpful.
Of course do discuss any concerns or questions you have about your treatment with your doctor/specialist whenever you can.
Wishing you all the best,
Ben

Thank you Ben
its my understanding that Primary Peritoneal Cancer is rare and therefore there isn't a lot of knowledge out there about it,
Hi Snippy how are you doing lately have you got a date to start your treatment ,it would have been good to be able to speak to someone who has had the same, it seems as if as you say its very rare so not much knowledge on it ,have you tried any other sites there will be someone but not on here it appears at the moment ,Anyway I hope you are staying well leading up to your treatment start date hopefully you'll find out more before then ,take care Jenny x
Hi sweetheart
I had my chemo yesterday and everything went fine, I'm on my usual high energy day today, I've cleaned and shopped, not sure where all this energy comes from, but unfortunately I know it won't last
i went on a PPC forum on Facebook just after I was diagnosed and I eventually came off it as it was so depressing and really scary at times, so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
but apart from that I'm quite guarded about what I read a there is so much stuff that's so scary
but please keep in touch, we can help each other out, xx
Hi I'm really glad to hear your first treatment went well it seems to have come round quickly ,time seems to be flying lately it seems you are keeping busy even though you aren't working at the minute which is a good thing, as you say there might be days when you don't feel like doing much so its good to get bits done while you can so that you can relax when you have to ,I agree about different forums it can be depressing and scary I know a lot of them mean well but everyone's different and a lot of it doesn't apply to us as individuals ,I know when I first got told there could be a problem with my blood tests symptoms etc I went straight to Google I didn't know what else to do ,I found myself saying out loud OMG OMG that's what I've got after losing 4 stone and many other symptoms but anyway since I last spoke to you I had a call from my Docs to say the Colonoscopy results had come back as ok it was a polyp hemeroids and Diverticulitus which I was very relieved to hear ,then I had a letter saying the hysteroscopy showed a polyp somewhere else but the biopsy wasn't big enough to be tested so I don't know whats happening with that they didn't say to have it done again so I take it they weren't worried ,I just thought I'd come back on here to see how you were doing and to give you a bit of support if you needed it ,its good to have someone to have a chat with as not everyone wants to chat so yes I'm always here to support and chat whenever you want , anyway you have a great attitude stay positive and active as much as you feel like doing and rest when you have to and you'll get there just like you did the first time ,take care Jenny xxx
Hi Jenny
so glad to hear that your tests are looking good and that your doctors aren't overly worried, I wouldn't wish this disease on my worst enemy.
thank you for keeping in touch, it's really good to keep chats like this going.
im day two since my chemo, the doc said they wanted to hit it fast and hard! Which is what they've done, but I am very optimistic that this is going to be fine, I'm also a believer in God and the power of prayer, that gives me so much hope and comfort.
im feeling a wee bit tired today as the steroids have kicked in and I can't sleep, so it's going to be a quiet day today.
im also going to be shaving my hair off on Monday as a fundraising event for Maggie's as they have been so supportive, not just this time but last time as well, so far I've raised just over £400, so I'm well chuffed.
pleaee keep in touch and I hope you get the answers you need from your doctors and your tests, xxx
It sounds like they are looking after you very well that's great news ,and being as you are not at work you don't mind feeling tired and even if you can't sleep you can still rest ,I know what you mean by steroids keeping you awake ,the Doc gave me steroids for a really bad chest infection the other week it really messed my sleep up that's twice I've been on them since July I had a chest xray and it was fine thank goodness . Keeping optomistic is the way to go I was just reading today that positive thoughts can be really helpful during illness also as you say the power of prayer is amazing I talk to God every day I'm always asking for something lol but also always thanking Him for answering prayer . Well done on fund raising for such a good cause £400 is amazing ,these are all positive things that will help with how you feel during your treatment its a great thing to do ,ok keep up the good work and positive thinking I get a notification when you post so I'll look out for that take care for now speak soon Jenny x
Snippy how are you doing ,all good I hope its been a while since we last spoke I just thought I'd drop by and see how you are ,how is the treatment going I'm a bit lost at how far you are with it now I hope its going well but not taking too much out of you ,hopefully you've been taking it easy whilst you're not at work in between hospital appointments ,anyway let me know how things are going when you get the chance Best Wishes Jenny x

Hi Jenny
thank you for getting in touch,
I had my first chemo 3 weeks ago now, my hair has almost gone, but I got in there first and shaved it off and raised £1100 for Maggie's,
ive had a lot of pain from the chemo, predominately the paclataxol, therefore the amount for my next chemo which is on Tuesday has been reduced to 60%, so hopefully this will help?
how are things with you?
