Sore Mouth

Hi , My Dad has lung cancer currently on a break from treatment , he has a really sore mouth treated with nystatin for thrush and mouthwash , not helping really struggling with it , struggling to eat ! actually started after he was in hospital with chemo induced colitis and a few days after getting covid , courtesy of the hospitial !!! 

He hadthe covid anti viral infusion , anyone any experience of a sore mouth ? any tips ? anyone any experience with a sore mouth after covid ? or covid anti virals ?

  • I'm so sorry your dad is having so much trouble with his mouth at the moment Mich.

    Hopefully some of our members who have had similar issues will offer their tips and suggestions to you soon but whilst you wait I hope this information about mouth problems and cancer will help.

    Our cancer nurses are also available for further information and advice on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9.m - 5p.m. They're very helpful and will do all they can to help you and your dad at this time.
