Enlarged abdominal lymph nodes

I had breast cancer in 2013 and endometrial cancer in 2017 and have been well with no evidence of disease since. However I had an MRI scan 10 days ago for lower back pain which showed a highly suspicious area to lumbar spine and enlarged para aortic and iliac lymph nodes. I've had a CT scan today and am awaiting an appointment with a consultant for results. I've been ok with things generally but tonight feel really anxious. Has anyone any experience of lymph node involvement that they can share with me please-good or bad. Many thanks all.

    I was just reading your post and wanted to offer you my support whilst you wait to speak with your consultant about your results.

    I completely understand why you're feeling anxious but I hope it helps to know you are not alone as the Cancer Chat community are here for you, and hopefully some of them will be along soon to share their experiences and advice.

    If you feel it may help to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, you can contact them on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They are very good listeners and will do all they can to ease your mind and answer any questions that may be playing on your mind.

    I hope the tips and advice given on this NHS webpage will help calm your nerves but in the meantime, we're thinking of you Lindylou and will have our fingers crossed for good news.
