Eye cancer

I was diagnosed with eye cancer Mar '22 the eye was removed, worst experience of my life!  Since then via MRI the cancer has mastasised to the liver, I have had two immunotherapy treatments but to no avail.    The cancer has grown so I have been given a choice of another treatment I.e.  Chemotherapy,  carbozine I believe is the name?
I am told this cancer is very rare, 6 in a million!!  What bad luck.

I am at the moment very well and apparently healthy, I exercise daily, cycling and walking, but what am I to expect, does anyone have any views on this subject.

My consultant said I have months and not years, that was 6 months ago.

  • Hi there, I have just been diagnosed with a rare cancer too - sino nasal cancer and am awaiting surgery which will affect one of my eyes. Just like you it is inexplicable to me how I am the one out of everyone to get it. I've had to just let that go as I will never find a reason. It is beyond shocking for you to be told that you have months left, I just posted a question yesterday about advice for my Stage 4 diagnosis and had a couple of really helpful replies about how people are managing their cancer so hopefully you will get some too. It is brilliant you are healthy just now, and that you are siezing that! Maybe the info under liver threads or that chemo type will tell you more about what to expect. Take carer Howard.
