Nobody understands or cares
That's a good point. You get Davina McCall advocating the merits of using HRT for menopausal women. But nothing for cancer patients and let's face it, everything comes with a skull and crossbones or consent forms needing signed to say you couldn't be pregnant. Or for women anyway.
Hello So-unhappy
I'm sorry to hear that your sex life has been impacted by a cancer diagnosis. Sex is an important part of many people's lives and it's sad to hear that you feel no one understands or cares about your situation.
We have some information on our website about how cancer can affect your sexuality and sex life. There's also some useful information on the Maggie's and Macmillan websites.
If it's yourself that's been through a cancer diagnosis then I'd really encourage you to speak to your clinical nurse specialist, Consultant, or GP about the issues that you're experiencing.
Alternatively, you're welcome to call our team of nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm to talk things through with them. I'm sure they will be happy to listen and offer any advice and support that they can.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes,
Jenn
