  • Welcome to the Cancer Chat community Talley although I'm sorry you're having a tough time with your chemo.

Tiredness and fatigue are common side effects of chemo, but I hope the tips and advice we have our website will help make this more manageable.

I'm sure some of our members who have contended with this side effect and the challenges it can bring will share their experiences and advice with you soon but if you'd like to discuss this with one of our cancer nurses, you can contact them on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

Do be sure to let your cancer team know if you're struggling as they will do all they can to help.

We're all thinking of you Talley and hope this starts to improve for you soon.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • Hang in there Talley,

I'm in a similar situation and initially found the tablets awful. However I've had the dosage lowered to 75% and find it manageable now. I still have rubbish times but think it's more the situation that gets me down.

It has to be your choice not your loved ones. My husband has said that he couldn't go through what I do but I want to spend as much time with my family as I can whilst it is manageable for me. Have a chat with your nurse and oncologist before deciding what is best for you.

Good luck on your journey xx

  • Hi thank you for your reply, the tablets may different I'm on the strongest of this type 60mg and I'm normally so active and I'm so tired and my voice is crap as they said it could be,  I just hope it gets better as the tablets are for life I think,  chat again. Richard
