Google

Please don't go to google for your info it will frighten you more, use your medical team.  I have had a grade 3 brain tumour removed done my radio soon to start chemo, have faith be positive I know it's hard, advances are. Ring made month by month

  • If Dr Google was a human, they'd have been struck off decades ago!

  • I think the problem with Google are folks expectations. They expect answers, and Google being Google throws up the worst case scenarios as it generates the most traffic.

It also can't differentiate between what could be two separate set of symptoms entirely, so it bundles them altogether and folk get freaked out even more. It's just not Google that's guilty of that, it's the people using it. For example, if you have breast cancer, and a sore back, Google will state you have stage 4 breast cancer. You can't possibly have a pinched nerve and BC. Then the people on forums just bundle all their symptoms into one. Like if i came on here and asked if someone had X cancer, and is my big toe pain part of the symptoms of having that cancer, there will all be someone with that cancer who will say they have it too. Means nothing. When we're all sick whether it be with a virus or disease we lose the ability to think it's entirely possible to have 2 things going on at once.

Add to that, Google will never ever be able to tell people what they don't have. It's not sentient.
