Tamoxifen - any positive experiences?

Hi, I'm just wondering whether anyone has had any positive experiences on tamoxifen? I'm 28 and was diagnosed with ER positive breast cancer in March. I've been on tamoxifen for about 6 weeks and so far it's been fine, I haven't had any side effects other than being tired (but think that's more to do with radiotherapy) I was dreading going on it after everything I read online but I've been completely fine. I don't want to tempt fate but has anyone else had a similar experience? Or has it taken longer for side effects to kick in?

    I have been given Tamoxifen for breast pain, it caused hot flushes and l stopped taking it. That was 12 years ago. Recently it was prescribed it again this time,  l checked before taking it as l have a clotting condition, sticky blood my GP had to check with the breast clinic as she didn't know if it was safe. The following day the doctor rang saying don't take it, followed by the surgeon 10 mins later, saying l should not have given it to you.
    Don't take it.     
    I hope you don't have any side effects and can take it as long as you need to.

    Hi 

    I've been on Tamoxifen for over six years now, I've had a range of relatively mild side effects, but nothing too terrible to consider stopping it. Some people find certain brands are better for them. For me all the various brands seem pretty similar. At present the most annoying side effect is brain fog- concentration is difficult. Thankfully I haven't had much tiredness.

    Hi, sorry to find you on here.

    I'm four months into taking Tamoxifen.  I haven't had any debilitating side affects at all.  The most notable was losing a lot of hair (but I've still got plenty).  My skin is also more dry and I'm a bit lacking in energy but that's about it.

    When you read the literature in the box I was shocked that there is quite a high risk of blood clots.  I was really worried but it's all been fine.
