Surely there must be more than this

Surely there must be more than this.

I was diagnosed AML-TP53 late 2021. cyTarabine and Venetolclax acheived remission by Jan 2022.

The cancer has returned to my bone marrow, my Stem Cell Transplant has been cancelled , I am off all chemo and the Dr. says there is nothing else that can be done. Prognosis is three months.

What can I do, is that it?

  • Why has it been cancelled? What can't you have more chemo, have you got a second opinion from another doctor.

I am so sorry to hear this. I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better. Always remember anything can happen at anytime. Your fate can change.

Its so weird, the shock of this on Monday knocked my wife and I sideways cos treatment was going so well and towards Stem Cell Transplant.

Now I have a list of question for my next meet next Monday.

I already phoned in for a referral and my medical records to provide to a specialist private hospital , although Macmillan and a hospital in Cambridge are supposed to be the best.

I saw my GP on an unrelated issue today, he was shocked at my prognosis since he says I look so well.
