BCC removal

Hello everyone,

New to the forum so I am sorry if I post it im the wrong group.

I was diagnosed with a BCC one nose in October 2019. I was very lucky that I had it removed in November 2019 with little to no scar. I went back for a check up in May 2020 and it was confirmed all thr cancer had been removed.

The reason I am writing this post is to ask a question to anyone who has gone through similar. I am slightly worried as it is now May 2022 and I still get some pain in my nose and tightness on the bridge of it. Is this normal? I worry that the surgery didn't go as planned or that the cancer is coming back.

Sorry if that sounds stupid, just trying to get some friendly advice or feedback.

Thanks,

D

  • Hi D and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

I'm really glad your treatment was so successful although I'm sorry for the worry your current symptoms are causing.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in this position will offer their thoughts and advice to you soon but in the meantime, it may be worth booking in with your GP to get this checked, if only for peace of mind.

Fingers crossed this isn't any cause for concern D.

    All the best,
