I have Benn diagnosed with bowel cancer and have excruciating lower back pain.
I've been prescribed paracetamol and codeine, which doesn't touch it really! Could this pain be cancer related? I've had CT Scans andvMRI both show no spread??
I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis and that you're struggling with pain management at the moment.

Do get back in touch with your GP regarding your pain levels. Hopefully they will be able to help get things better managed ahead of your surgery next month.

I've had my preop today and asked the question about my lower back pain .....all they could say was speak with my colorectal nurse who can give me answers. Unfortunately it's after 5pm on a Friday night so no hope of speaking before Monday.....aaaaagh.2 more sleepless night ahead.
Although I am so tired right now, even when I lay down (Moreso when I lay down) it's so painful it's difficult to sleep.
I'm going to ty some sominex tonight....see if that helps.
