Does anyone know whether it is safe to take Starflower oil supplements with tamoxifen? I was taking menopause vitamins but have been advised not to take them because they impair the tamoxifen effectiveness. thanks x
I have had two bouts of breast cancer and took Tamoxifen after my lumpectomy and Letrozole after my double mastectomy. That was 12 years ago. I was taking Evening Primrose Oil and some other suppliments, but was advised to stop them immediately for the same reason.
As a Homoeopathic practitioner, I was quite surprised at some of the things that I was told not to take. It is worth asking either your consultant or your breast care nurse for guidance.

Thanks. I did ask my GP who advised me not to take anything without checking with the oncologist. I have an appointment coming up so I will ask - but I suspect the answer will be no. li
