Pain in unaffected breast

Hi

I have grade 3 IDC in my right breast and have completed 6 chemos with one more to go.

My problem is that my other breast is really really achy. It was obviously checked when I was diagnosed and was all clear. I know there could be a number of reasons like poor fitting bra, effects of the chemo etc but I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced pain in the unaffected breast?

    Hi Harker,

I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years. I had no pain in the breast where both lumps were found, but have had quite a lot in the other breast. I have had the usual tests from time to time, but fortunately the lumps in this breast have all been benign so far. I undrstand that it is unusual to have pain associated with breast cancer, although it can happen.

Please ask your care team about this, if for no other reason than to put your mind to rest. I sincerely hope that all turns out to be ok. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. I am glad to hear that you are just about to finish your chemo and I hope that this has worked for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
