Axillary lymph node clearance

UPDATE AGAIN - 06/02/2022: the district nurse came this morning.  She removed the drain and tubing. It  was a bit stingy when the stitch was taken out but she whipped the tube out in a matter of seconds.  What a relief. Another thing ticked off xx

UPDATE - 02/02/2022: had my surgery yesterday.  Went well but I did wake up in a lot of pain afterwards.  The nurse topped me up with pain relief which bought it under control. I was given oramorph to bring home too but only a days worth so I got my gp to prescribe me 5 more days worth. The drain bottle is bigger than I expected but they gave me a little fabric bag to put it in. It's collected 100ml already, not nice but it's doing what it's supposed to. The district nurse is coming Sunday to remove the tube and take the bottle away. I'm glad it's over,  another thing to tick off. Now to wait 4 weeks for the results then it's an appointment with the oncologist to discuss the chemotherapy.  That's the part I'm really dreading though I'm glad there'd no more surgery ahead xx
