How long do chemo side effects last? Having a tough time

Hi

 I'm on day 8 of cycle 2 and I'm still sick is this normal my first cycle was not nice but ok but this has knocked my socks off I'm sick I have zero energy horrible sweating and my mouth and throat has blistered I have been back to the chemo ward and I have no infection but this is horrible will this be like this for the 12 cycles I need ?

    Sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly. I have just finished my first round of chemo and am in agony in my throat and mouth. I am struggling to eat and swallow without wincing in pain. I have been given antibiotics to try and am taking  paracetamol. 

    I feel like you - not sure I could manage another 5 rounds in this pain.

    Please talk to your care team. I suffered unnecessarily from side effects for weeks because I thought it was normal. It can be hard but please don't make it harder than it needs to be. 

    On the plus side ... chemo worked for me and I'm here to tell the tale.
