Bladder cancer

After being diagnosed in June 2020. Radiotherapy later that year, the cancer has now come back. Today my lovely husband has been told that no more treatment is available. He's too old for operation to remove bladder etc. We are devestated. Just been told to get on with life as normal. To contact G. P if he has anymore worrying symptoms. It's like a bad dream

  • Hello hawaii1998,

A warm welcome to Cancer Chat. I am so sorry to hear that your husband's cancer has come back and that they have told you that no treatment is available and that he won't be able to benefit from surgery. It must have been a bit of a shock to you.

I just wanted you to know that we are all there for you.  I hope that you will soon hear from our lovely community and that they will share their experience of supporting a loved one with bladder cancer with you.

If you ever had any questions or wanted to talk things through with one of our lovely nurses, you can give them a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

We're thinking of you and your husband during this difficult time.

    Best wishes,

    Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator
