Lump in right breast

Hi all, I'm 49 and found a lump in my right breast just over a month ago, thought I was being paranoid, as I've had a few friends who have had BC, so regularly check my breasts. Felt it again around two weeks ago, saw GP, confirmed I have a lump around 2cm in size and have a hospital appt on 2nd Dec. I've got a burning & stinging pain in my breast and nipple & probably like everyone else, I'm terrified, feel sick most of the time & I need to stop googling & try to be more positive. Can't tell any of my friends as I can't say it out loud (it's not happening if I don't speak the words). I'm peri menopausal and started HRT 6 months ago, so every ache & pain I've been blaming on that!

  • Ah I just responded to your other comment. I went originally with a lump and stinging pain but they said all was fine. They sent me away with the all clear then 4 days later they called me and said they had relooked at it and I needed to go back as they've seen something else not related to the lump (calcifications in a cluster) US done then vacuum biopsies amd result on Thursday. Absolutely dreading it seeing as at the mo we can't take anyone in with us cause of Covid restrictions!

Anyway will be thinking of you on Thursday xx

  • It's frightening that we can't take anyone in with us right now, especially when you need support most. I was going to ask if I could phone my partner while they discuss things with me, as I'll be all over the place and won't take anything in that they are telling me. Hope that why they have done is just a precaution and it's all ok for you. Again, please do let me know how you get on. Xx
