I had a mammogram 10 days ago and have now received an appointment at a breast referral clinic for next week. To say I'm stressed and worried is an understatement. I have just joined this forum and have read a few posts which have been helpful.
I'm sorry the doctor thinks you may have cancer. That must have been tough to hear but I hope it helps to know that whatever the outcome, we are here for you Sportingbabe.
Fingers crossed you won't be waiting too long for those results.
My BC was picked up by routine screening and I've had a 19mm stage 2 tumour removed. I am starting radiotherapy next week but since surgery, I've been back at work for 5 weeks. Lymph nodes were clear, so I'll have hormone blocker for ten years. At first I was a sobbing mess, now I'm generally ok and hardly think about the cancer. I refuse to not live my life, and when I have had dark thoughts I rationalise that at 56 any number of things could kill me! You'll be well looked after and you'll get through this to sunny days again.

I was really lucky, they told me they found no signs of anything untoward in the biopsies and said I was all clear. Thank you so much for all the support on here. Sending all my love and hugs to you and everyone here ️
Aw that's amazing news! I'm so, so pleased for you! You must be absolutely bouncing today! what a huge sigh of relief for you.
I ended up with only a mammogram yesterday, I was so annoyed & upset when I came out, I was given the wrong information of what yesterday entailed and today I had a letter confirming my follow up on 15th for results (which I knew I had anyway when they first called me to book both appointments in)
I'll be seeing a breast cancer surgeon on that date for my results and THEN possibly an ultrasound and biopsy depending on what they say.
Another two weeks of waiting but I'm keeping myself busy doing some decorating.
