I am sorry to hear about your symptoms and understand how worried you are. Your doctor is obviously not too worried when she has given you a routine referral.

I do hope that you manage to get your mammogram soon. In the meantime remind yourself that not all breast lumps are cancerous. Many turn out to be benign cysts or due to hormonal/fibrous changes. Only 1 person in 8 referred to the breast clinic will get a cancer diagnosis. Tests are are much to rule out cancer as they are to detect it.
