Today I went for a referral suffering from bloody discharge and my nipple didn't look right to my 'normal'. I saw the doctor who felt the area and said I cant see or feel an issue however we will send you for a mammogram and ultrasound to make sure. I had mammogram and then went to ultrasound. Lying on the bed the registrar started taking pictures, then the consultant took over. 2 abnormalities 1 behind the nipple one further up. 2 biopsies later with the incision of clips feeling tender and bruised. I see the doctor who said the mammogram showed a different density in part of my breast and the abnormalities found in ultrasound needed biopsies. I'm petrified as he gave me the we will get results then have a big meeting to what happens next (could take 2-3 weeks) Then followed by but if nothing serious we will call in 1-2 weeks. I finally told my mom and nearest what was happening felt a huge weight lifted but same time overwhelmed by questions I dont have the answers to because it all happened so fast (even though I was there 4 hours for all scans/appointments) having no one there due to covid it went over my head. Thank you for letting me ramble just needed to let it out
