Tesicle Lump

Hey people,

I'm just looking for some advice to either point my mind in the right direction or get a better understanding.

On Sunday evening I checked myself in the shower, I felt a very small hard lump, not a swollen lump more like a pimple size hard object on my left testicle about 1/2cm from the top.

I spent the night feeling sick and almost in an uncontrollable state of anxiety and worry. I went to see my GP the morning after feeling extremely anxious, she asked me to lay down and she carried out an examination or my testicles. She said she could feel what I was concerned about but told me that she doesn't feel I have anything to be worried about and that I could leave there with the anxiety gone. She said that she thinks they're fine. She told me that she would refer me for an ultrasound just protocol and I would receive a letter! Is this normal practice, I trust in our GP's although I can not shift the worry that the ultrasound is going to give me another answer?

Could anyone with experience touch base on this with me please.

Many thanks to all.

  • Hi, sorry to find you here asking for advice.

I'm glad you've been to be checked out as that's often the hardest bit to do.

You could contact your local hospital and see if they have any cancellations in regards to your ultrasound -hopefully having this with ease your anxiety -which is totally normal by the way. You could maybe contact the hospital too ask

about waiting times. Some hospitals waits are longer than others. Might just give you a time frame approx.

( An ultrasound is harmless test using jelly and a ultroaund probe they take images on a screen. The jelly is often cool. )
