Lump on the back of neck

Recently I have been intouch with my GP in regards to a small lump on the back of my neck that I've had for well over a year. The lump is pea sized, does not move and completely painless and it has also reduced in size and then grown again numerous occasions over the past year, but never got any bigger.

My GP confirmed the lump was there and referred me for an ultrasound, 5 days after the ultrasound and my GP called to say they don't know what it is and further investigation is needed. My next appointment is coming up at the ENT department.

I am absolutely terrified and wanted to know if anyone else has gone through something similar? I know we are all different and it could be a number of things or could be nothing, very worrying times and my anxiety is on another level.
